Training has been a difficult and I haven't had much of a season. The reason behind it is technique. In April Dr. B came back from a training camp and switched me back to three turns. He said that I would have foul troubles because on my first turn I'd "jump behind" meaning, instead of moving the hammer around my body I was moving my body backwards. This switch affected my mental preparation for the season.
One of the keys to being a good athlete is trusting your coach. I'll admit it was hard at times but things have come around since then. I've had training PB's with the 5kg (72.03), 10kg (47.35), 8.5kg (55.20)
So far we've worked on my entry and staying in longer double support. His cue is "entry same final" which means push the ball around and over my left leg.
I have a competition in Kelowna this weekend. My main focus is to compete well and work on my entry.
After that I'll be competing at the CAC games in Puerto Rico on the 25th of July.
